I’m fine with this. I like Chris Pine.
Category: Comics
I always figured that something like this happened. DC couldn’t have let Harley Quinn show up on a television show that’s decent, they need to save her for (what looks like it is going to be) a horrible movie.
My theory: The reaction to the Supergirl trailer was so negative CBS leaked the show so people could make judgments based on the entire pilot instead of just 4 minutes of it.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow Trailer
The Arrow / Flash spin-off series get a name and a trailer. Some interesting things, including an apparent use of the Lazarus Pits to raise Sara Lance from the dead. Also, RORY IS THE DOCTOR and THE ATOM SHRINKS. (I might be a little excited about this show.)
You can read the post if you want all the details as to why Comic-Con International might be moving to Las Vegas, but I’m going to simply say: If Comic-Con is in Vegas…I’m there.
Wow. In the same year that [Girls with Slingshots](http://gwscomic.com) comes to an end, we see the end of Hijinks Ensure. It’s a bummer, since I was a huge fan of Joel’s comic, but, also, I feel like I had sort of lost interest in it. I’m not sure how much of that is because of the change in subject matter, and how much was because Joel said that the people that go to HeroesCon are “not his people”. Regardless, I’m looking forward to seeing what he comes up with next.
Really smart move by The CW.
> **DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW**
> When heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat – one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known? The cast includes Victor Garber (The Flash); Brandon Routh (Arrow); Arthur Darvill (Doctor Who); Caity Lotz (Arrow); Dominic Purcell (The Flash) and Wentworth Miller (The Flash). Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg and Sarah Schechter are EPs.
Interesting. This way they can use all the characters and actors, but not have it mess with their roles in Flash or Arrow. Kind of a neat trick. (Though, I wonder if “The Atom” is going to juse be Iron Man in this show, or if he’ll actually shrink.)
iZombie Gets a Second Season
I know the show is *very* different from the comic, but Elyssa and I both like it. I’m glad it got a Season 2.
CBS Orders Supergirl To Series
I’m glad this show got picked up, but I am going to refrain from getting excited until I have seen a couple of episodes.
> “It’s interesting,” said Timm. “It’s weird. Myself — being somebody who’s taken characters that pre-exist and putting my own spin on them in my own little universe — I’m very aware of how when a character that I necessarily created shows up in other media that they have to adapt it and do different things with it than I would do. So I’m very open to it to see what they’re going to do. I’m actually really excited. I just today, just before the show started, saw the first image of Harley Quinn from the ‘Suicide Squad’ movie, and I thought ‘Woah. She looks actually pretty cute!’ I was actually kind of worried I thought ‘Oh, she’s going to look really, really bizarre and skanky’ but nah, she’s not too bad. So I’m often mistaken.”
I guess Timm is more positive about Harley’s look than I am?
A Closer Look at Harley Quinn
Well, there we go. Harley is going to look…umm…I have no idea what this is.
*UPDATE: There is another look [at the bottom of this post](http://www.newsarama.com/24379-harley-quinn-and-suicide-squad-in-action-with-new-set-photos.html).*
It’s tough to get a really good look at Harley, but this is pretty much what I expected. (Yes, that means I’m disappointed.)
If this is what the Joker is going to look like, I do *not* have high hopes for Harley Quinn. *sadface emoji.*
Justice League Unlimited is one of my all-time, favorite comic-related shows. I am super pumped it’s now available on Netflix. Also available are its pre-cursor show, [Justice Leauge](http://instantwatcher.com/titles/201176) and a more recent animated offering from DC, [Young Justice](http://instantwatcher.com/titles/201175).
The DAREDEVIL Stories You Have to Read
If you enjoyed the television show, and want to read some of the comics, you could do worse than this listing. I especially recommend the Bendis & Maleev stuff.
Daredevil Fight Scenes Ranked
Speaking of Daredevil, review this list and remember how awesome this show is.
Huh. I have a hard enough time keeping up with one Marvel show on network television. I’m not sure I can handle two.
Why so serious?
Marvel Unlimited is such a good way to catch up on older comics, and they seem to keep making it better.
