Trailer for Season 2 of Arrow
I still do not understand the whole Black Canary thing, when they are already have a Dinah Lance on the show, but the trailer looks pretty decent.
Yes. Awesome.
> However, given that [Katie] Cassidy’s character is based on the second Black Canary’s alter ego Dinah Laurel Lance, many fans expected that the crusading attorney eventually would turn to vigilantism.
Umm..what? They made a character called Dinah Lance and then are going to have someone else play Black Canary. Why even have Dinah then? I am so confused.
Trailer: Psych’s Musical Episode
This is going to be *awesome*.
Speaking of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., it looks like September 24th is the date we finally get to see it.
These characters have “Joss Whedon” written all over them.
Start the countdown clock to Arrow’s cancellation.
I hope that, at a minimum, they release the pilot so we can see it. I have always thought Laura Ramsey as Becky Montcrief was a good choice and I want to see if I am right.
Ben Thompson writes the piece I have been meaning to write about the economics of television content and cable companies. It is worth reading if you are someone who asks “Why won’t HBO take my money?” Here are parts [two](http://stratechery.com/2013/why-tv-has-resisted-disruption/) and [three](http://stratechery.com/2013/the-jobs-tv-does/) for after you finish part one.

Details about the show are a closely guarded secret at this point.
I was slow to the *Clone Wars* bandwagon, but I will not be making that mistake with this new show.
Speaking of no brainers…
My only fear for this show is that I have my expectations set way, way to high. Insanely good trailers like this are not going to help that problem.
To which I say: Fine. Do it.
It is time for the entire content production / distribution model in television to change. Let’s hope Aereo can help push that forward.
I love this casting. I really hope Laura can bring to life the Becky that is so excellently depicted in Bunn and Hurtt’s book.
It has long been my hypothesis that online video delivery networks would have to start getting original content if they were going to break the stranglehold that big networks have over streaming of television content. I am glad to see that Amazon is looking like they will be getting in the original television content game.
Can I set my DVR now?
Only a few more minutes per episode, but it should end up to an additional hour over the course of the whole season. Works for me.
The downside of Benedict Cummberbatch becoming such a popular actor.
Charting Law and Order’s Outcomes
This is awesome.
