→ iTunes has Previously Lost Doctor Who Episodes Available for Download

Here’s the description of the first recovered episode1:

The first recovered episode is The Enemy of the World, the fourth tale of Series 5, which first aired on the BBC in December 1967. The story features Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor.

There is also another recovered episode available today:

Also recovered is the 1968 story The Web of Fear, again staring Patrick Troughton as the Doctor. It features the introduction of Nicholas Courtney as Colonel Lethbridge-Stewart.

You can also read Michael Moran’s story of how the recovered episodes were found and remastered.

→ Official: Peter Capaldi Is The New Doctor Who

Woah. I did not see this coming. To be honest, I am kind of excited. Since I only started watching Doctor Who with the reboot, I have never seen any of the “older” incarnations of the Doctor. It should be fun.

→ Neil Gaiman to write a S7 Episode of Doctor Who

His episode last season was great. I have high hopes that this one will be too.

→ Matt Smith to be The Doctor until at least 2014

Great news. I also love the reason why:

“[Steven Moffat’s] first episode of [Season Eight] sounds great.

“It hasn’t been written yet but the idea is as brilliant and as mental as you’d expect from Steven. So there’s a lot to look forward to.

“When Steven was going to pitch the next season to me not long ago, he said, ‘Are you ready to cry?'”

I cannot wait.
