An interesting take on the debate as to whether Animal Kingdom is a full day or half day park. Personally, I love Animal Kingdom, and have no problem spending a full day there.

I really wish I had been at Disney World for Star Wars day. It is also going to be really tough to be really close to Disney World during Star Wars weekend in a few days, but not be in a position to go. Next year, however, I will be all over it.
Super Deep Disney Quotes
It is because of posts like this, that [Oh my Disney!](http://blogs.disney.com/oh-my-disney) is my new favorite blog.
The long rumored expansion of Harry Potter-related attractions at Universal Studios in Florida is now official. The most interesting things for me is probably the new Hogwarts Express:
> “After teasing people with that static version of the Hogwarts Express in Hogsmeade, we’re now going to give them the opportunity to climb aboard that train and go on an actual journey. And we’re not going to do the usual theme park thing, where you get on an attraction that promises to take you on a journey, but then when you exit your ride vehicle, you’re actually back in the exact same spot where you began that ride,” Mark enthused. “After people climb aboard the Hogwarts Express at Universal Orlando Resort next year, as they exit that train, they’re going to find themselves in an entirely different environment, in a completely different place. Whether they’ve journeyed from London to Hogsmeade or visa versa. And we’ve made sure that even your train trip aboard the Hogwarts Express will be part of the ambitious immersive storytelling experience that we’re trying to create for our Guests with this Potter expansion.”
It sounds really impressive.
I am totally doing this on my honeymoon next year.[^fn1]
[^fn1]: Yes, my honeymoon will be at Disney World, and, yes, we are planning it so that we will be there for–hopefully–two Star Wars Weekends.
I am cautiously optimistic about this. I know E.A. does not always produce the best titles, but they have the resources they can throw at this property and, hopefully, make some top notch games.
People need to realize that the economics of offering HBO without cable just does not make sense currently. The benefit HBO gets from cable companies paying for nearly *all of their advertising* is much more than they could currently hope to recoup from offering the service stand alone.
I might have to order some tickets for the new opening night.
I am fine with that.
I would not necessarily follow the advice, but I do think it is a pretty cool little flow chart.
This looks awesome.
An Argument for Likable Movies
Ann Hornaday writing for the Washington Post:
> But recently, I’ve begun to question whether “middlebrow” always deserves to be a pejorative. There are plenty of movies that, while not aspiring to high art or slumming their way to the lowest common denominator, qualify as middlebrow — and also happen to be skillfully made, generously humanistic and genuinely entertaining.
These are exactly the kind of movies I want to see.
I am actually okay with this. There is nothing saying that the films will all be sequels of each other. I think there is plenty of room in the Star Wars universe to have a new film every year.
Spectacular. Seriously, take a 10 minute break and go watch it.
Well, at least I’ll have a way to watch the *Veronica Mars* movie once the digital version is released[^fn1].
[^fn1]: As you may know, the Veronica Mars kickstarter project had a digital copy of the movie as one of the incentives. They said they were going to give that digital copy via Flixster.
So you are telling me that you are putting Nathan Fillion in a Pixar movie? Could a movie be more perfect?
You want to know why? It is because _The Following_ is terrible.
The best thing to come out of the whole Saga Issue #12 fiasco is this column by John Flanagan. Seriously, give it a read.
This review makes me really, really hope I can get a reservation for my next trip. Also, I wonder if being on my honeymoon will be enough to get them to bring me the “Grey Stuff”.
Aaaron Del Prince writes about the current state of WiFi at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks:
> As Disney Parks continues its Next Gen rollout a big part of what was needed to drive it was theme park wireless Internet access. I’ve been on the Wi-Fi network and it seems very inconsistent at best.
“Inconsistent” is better than what I found last time I tried it, where I found it completely unusable[^fn1]. I hope that Disney can work to improve the WiFi going forward, otherwise, the MyMagic+ experience could be really problematic.
[^fn1]: Full Disclosure: I did try it the 2 days after Christmas
