Go watch it. I’ll be here when you get back.

November 6, 2015. Mark it on your calendars[^fn1]
[^fn1]: Also, if you did not already know, *Iron Man 3* on May 3, 2013, *Thor: Dark Side of the World* on November 8th, 2013, *Captain America: The Winter Solider* on April 4, 2014, and *Guardians of the Galaxy* on August 1, 2014.
New Trailer for The Hobbit
It should come as no surprise that this is currently the movie I am most excited to see.
Forced 3D
Who cares if Guillermo del Toro does not want the studio to convert HHS movie to 3D, they can charge $3 more per ticket if they do[^f0652].
[^f0652]: Stuff like this is why I try it avoid going to movie theatres.
I had major doubts this was going to even get minimal forward momentum. If the scripts is almost written though, maybe it will actually get made.
The details:
* HD Quality Movies
* Available via iTunes[^bb]
* Earlier than the DVD / Blu-Ray Release
* For $15
I like it. It is not perfect, but it’s a step in the right direction. I have [pre-ordered Prometheus](http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/stat?id=r*bqlTuiXSo&offerid=146261&type=3&subid=0&tmpid=1826&RD_PARM1=http%253A%252F%252Fitunes.apple.com%252Fus%252Fmovie%252Fprometheus%252Fid547496947%253Fuo%253D4%2526partnerId%253D30)[^fn1] already as a “show of support” for this new model.
[^fn1]: Affiliate Link
[^bb]: They are also available via that “UltraViolet” thing which I do not understand and, frankly, I do not care about. I am content staying within the Apple ecosystem for my media content.
Mark your calendars:
* December 14, 2012 – *The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey*
* December 13, 2013 – *The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug*
* July 18, 2014 – *The Hobbit: There and Back Again*
Disney Planning a Rocketeer Reboot
All of this talk that about Disney wanting to reboot *The Rocketeer* makes me want to go watch the original.
I loved this movie when I was younger. My father and I would frequently quote lines it as we played basketball in the driveway.
Whedon’s Master Plan
Too bad that [Nathan Fillion has already said he does not want to play Ant Man](http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/GraphicCity/news/?a=60132). That could have been the next step to making this comic a reality.
Take that Marvel.[^joss]
[^joss]: They are definitely not copying Marvel’s idea of getting a geek god like Joss Whedon.
I would be fine with allowing Fox to make another crappy Daredevil movie if Marvel could put Silver Surfer and Galactus in the Guardians of the Galaxy and/or Avengers 2.
The Hobbit will be a Trilogy
It’s official.
I don’t know what to believe anymore.
In case you want to bring it to the movie with you and follow along.
Gorgeous Marvel Movies DVD Art
These look amazing. I want a large version of the Avengers one for my wall.
Amazing Spider-Man
I just got back from [Amazing Spider-man](http://www.theamazingspiderman.com/). It was entertaining, but did not blow me away. In fact, I’d say that it was not as good as any of the movies produced by [Marvel Studios](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marvel_Cinematic_Universe). That being said, Andrew Garfield was quite good at being Spider-Man and Emma Stone stole every scene she was in.
If you want a more in-depth review of the film, I highly recommend [Paul Montgomery’s (spoiler free) review over at iFanboy](http://ifanboy.com/articles/movie-review-the-amazing-spider-man-spoiler-free/).
I would go see it Again
Rumor from [Blastr](http://blastr.com/2012/06/rumor-of-the-day-marvels-2.php):
> The plan, as [SuperHeroAuthority.com](http://www.superheroauthority.com/2012/06/marvel-and-disney-rumored-to-be.html) puts forth, is to release *The Avengers: The Director’s Cut* in theaters toward the end of the summer. Whedon has already mentioned that he’d be including some sort of director’s cut for the home-video release—complete with 30 minutes or so that he excised for Avengers’ theatrical run—so it’s not a reach to think that Marvel and Disney might throw the super-sized edition on the big screen as well.
I would almost surely go see it in the theatre to see the extra 30 minutes on the big screen.
