The big question: Can I convince Elyssa we should go this year?
Tag: star wars
Elyssa and I had so much fun at this last year, it’s going to be kind of a bummer if we cannot get down for one this year.
Yes, I have already started hunting for Clemson – Star Wars t-shirts.
Preview starting September 29th on tablets, with the actual debut on Disney XD on October 3.
I am excited about all of the Star Wars comics, but I think I might be the most excited about this one.
He’s Boba, the Fett…
New Trailers for Star Wars – Rebels
I have my fingers crossed that this is going to be good.
I hear this is one of the reasons for the Star Wars Land delay as well.
Let me clear…
OH MY GOD!!! NEW STAR WARS!!! FROM J.J. ABRAMS!!!!
LucasArts asked to delay the movie until 2016, but Iger said no. That does not make me nervous or anything.[^fn1]
[^fn1]: Oh wait, yes it does.
These are awesome. So, so good.
I'm really going to miss this series. I am glad they are going to give it a proper ending.
That dual light saber looks pretty awesome.
Tom Corless at *WDW News Today*:
> Yes, that’s right. It sounds like Disney and Warner Brothers have either signed or are very close to singing an agreement that will bring “The Lord of the Rings” and “The Hobbit” movie-inspired areas to the Disney Parks. This comes on the heels of rumors that it would be Universal that would acquire the theme parks rights several months ago.
This would be amazing. I would definitely prefer *Lord of the Rings* at a Disney park over Universal. Also, I am not sure I can even comprehend how great the Studios would be if it had equal parts *Star Wars*, *Lord of the Rings*, and Pixar.
I am fine with Disney putting this money toward Star Wars land.
This is still just a rumor, but, if true, it would be amazing.
I am keeping my fingers crossed that Disney surprises me and *does* announce something big related to Star Wars.
> At the closing ceremonies, Lucasfilm announced that its next fan fest – Star Wars Celebration VII – will be timed to the theatrical release of Episode VII, and will be held in Anaheim, California from April 16-18, 2015. Tickets go on sale on August 9th, 2013. Yes, that soon.
Elyssa and I are going to seriously consider going to this.[^fn1]
[^fn1]: I do wish it was in Orlando, though.
Good. This *had* to happen.
> Scheduled to premiere in fall 2014 as a one-hour special telecast on Disney Channel, it will be followed by a series on Disney XD channels around the world.
> The action-filled series is set between the events of Episode III and IV – an era spanning almost two decades never-before explored on-screen. Star Wars Rebels takes place in a time where the Empire is securing its grip on the galaxy and hunting down the last of the Jedi Knights as a fledgling rebellion against the Empire is taking shape. Details about the show are a closely guarded secret at this point.
I was slow to the *Clone Wars* bandwagon, but I will not be making that mistake with this new show.
