I purchased the [Motorola Surfboard SB6141](http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-SurfBoard-SB6141-DOCSIS-Cable/dp/B007IMPMW4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1349458005&sr=8-1&keywords=SB6141)[^fn1] the other day for $100, but prices seem to be climbing daily since the announcement. Before long, the [Motorola SURFboard Gateway SBG6580](http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-SURFboard-Gateway-SBG6580-Wireless/dp/B0040IUI46/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1349458101&sr=1-1&keywords=SBG6580), that includes wireless networking, might end up being the cheaper alternative[^fn2]
