→ “Suicide Squad’s” Margot Robbie Says She Has to Do ‘Justice’ to Harley Quinn Role

At least Ms. Robbie is saying all the right things.

→ Breaking News: Supergirl is Cast!

Speaking of DC Comics tv shows, it looks like they’ve found their Supergirl^f4625].

→ Gotham renewed for second season

The show has been getting pretty awesome ratings, so this doesn’t come as much of a surprise.

→ Clemson Tigers still fighting for national respect

Excellent piece by Andrea Adelson about how Clemson’s success in recent years has not been enough to overcome its reputation:

Look at the actual results: Clemson’s only losses in 2014 were to teams that finished in the final top 10 of the AP and coaches polls (Florida State, Georgia and Georgia Tech). Go back the past three seasons, and Clemson’s only losses were to teams that finished in the final top 10 (Florida State and South Carolina in 2012 and 2013). It just so happens Clemson, Florida State and South Carolina have all been really good all at once. Failing to beat both consistently seems to be a harsh way of judging a team.

Let’s hope a full year of (heathy) Deshaun Watson can do some more to change that.

→ Emma Watson to Play Belle in Disney’s Live Action Beauty and the Beast

I’m 100% behind this casting.

→ “Flash” EP Teases Gorilla Grodd’s Debut

I cannot believe they are really going to bring Grodd to television.

→ Netflix Releases Trailer For Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

I hadn’t heard anything about this show, but the trailer looks pretty solid. Also, I really like Ellie Kemper in pretty much every thing I’ve seen her in.

→ Shane Victorino is apparently texting pictures of his abs to John Farrell

I really hope this is true. I also really hope Victornio can stay healthy this season.

→ 14 Disneyland Star Wars Half Marathon Costumes

I really hope they add a Star Wars theme race next year.

→ Frank Schwab with one of the best things I’ve read on the Patriots and Footballs

The whole piece is great, but I especially like this:

Belichick on Saturday gave what felt like a college power lecture on preparation of footballs and what he thinks happened, going on in pretty surprising detail about their amateur scientist experiments. Then, everyone just said he was a liar. That’s where we are with this. I’ve covered sports for a long time and don’t recall a mass overreaction to a story quite like this.

The whole story has been ridiculous from the start, but at least now people are coming to that realization.

→ Brian Singer Tweets X-Men: Apocalypse New Cast Members

Bleeding Cool gives the summary:

Brian Singer took to the unusual mode of Twitter for a surprise announcement to fans of the casting of three new actors to X-Men: Apocalypse roles. Alexandra Shipp will play Storm, Sophie Turner will play Jean Grey and Tye Sheridan will play Cyclops, according to Singer.

I think I’m pleased with these picks1.

  1. I know I’m pleased with Sophie Turner as Jean Grey.

→ Cumberbatch Displays The Full Sherlock

I am so glad that Benedict makes time to still do this show, despite having such a busy movie career.

→ UNC forward J.P. Tokoto brings stuffed bear, Gerry, to press conference

Sounds like Gerry needs to meet up with Fenway.

→ DeflateGate: Bill Belichick’s Press Conference Ends It All

There is no evidence of any actual wrong doing by the Patriots, but even Belichick’s explanation won’t be enough for people who hate the Patriots being consistently good for so long.

→ Rob Manfred, new Major League Baseball commissioner, suggests ban on defensive shifts

At least his first statement to the media isn’t moronic. Oh, wait.

→ Tale of the Tape: UNC vs Louisville

Huge game for Carolina. Beating Louisville would be a strong sign they’re not very far behind the Duke / Virginia tier of the ACC.

→ New Beer Bars Coming to Raleigh

Important information for the upcoming year.

→ Karl Hess Apparently Done as an ACC Referee

This move is long, long overdue.

→ Ten Moments that Mattered: Harley Quinn Comes to Film

I still cannot believe its happening.
