→ ReadKit for Mac Updated

A new version of ReadKit1, has been released with new sharing options. I really, really want to love this program and use it as my Mac FeedWrangler client. I never seem to never be able to get a sync to complete with it, however.

  1. Affiliate Link (as is the post link.)

→ New Black and White, Bruce Timm, Harley Quinn Statute Coming

Speaking of Ms. Quinn, there is a killer new statute based on her Bruce Timm design that is coming out in 2014.

→ Jimmy Palmiotti on the Upcoming Harley Quinn Series

I will say that the people that have trusted [Amanda Connor and I] in the past with characters like Power Girl will understand that we are approaching Harley with the respect the character deserves, and there will always be an element of fun to the work we do. We are huge fans of what Paul Dini and Bruce Timm created, and hope we can do them proud with this book.

I am giving the book a shot. I hope they do a good job with my favorite comic book character.1

  1. Or, at least, try to pull back some of the horrible things that the New 52 has done to her.

→ New Disney Podcast – “Pardon the Pixie Dust”

Cool new show from the Touring Plans Podcast Network that puts a Disney-spin on the PTI formula.1

  1. And yes, I know ESPN is a Disney company.

→ Snowpiercer to be Dumbed Down for American Audience

The comment from The Weinstein Company is just offensive:

TWC people have told Bong that their aim is to make sure the film ‘will be understood by audiences in Iowa … and Oklahoma.’

I really wanted to see this movie, but I will probably skip it now to avoid adding to Weinstein’s profits.

→ “Villainy in the Sky” fireworks to debut during “Unleash the Villains” Limited Time Magic evening event at Walt Disney World

I wish that this was going to be a regular show at The Studios, especially for the nights there is not a Fantasmic! show.1

  1. Of course, with the Osborne Family lights showing in November and December, there probably not a need for a show during those months.

→ Carol Stein is a Disney Treasure

I am glad that people are re-discovering how amazing Ms. Stein is. I have so many memories great memories from her at the Comedy Warehouse.

→ It is Too Bad Apple Bloggers Do Not Recognize the Media’s Bias Outside the Apple Context

Rush Limbaugh mentions something that I have been thinking a lot lately:

The way you [,Apple Bloggers,] see [the majority of the tech media] propping up Samsung and Google and Android and the way these guys are ripping Apple to shreds, would you try to see that in the mainstream media? Would you open your eyes and see what’s going on in the mainstream media? Would you try to open your eyes and see that in the mainstream media, the Republican Party is Apple, and the Democrat Party is Samsung, Google, and Android.”

It is really too bad that more of the tech bloggers do not recognize that same type of misdirection is happening over in the political side of the news media, too.1 It feels like it is a waste of their analytical skills.

  1. This recent quote from Ben Brooks about the continued NSA scandal reminded me of Limbaugh had said: “That’s on me for not fully reading the source documents and taking the Post at its word.”

→ All Ears Review of Flying Fish Cafe

This review is well-timed, since Flying Fish is one of the restaurants that is on the cut-line for the honeymoon. After reading it, I would say that Flying Fish’s chances of being a honeymoon meal have increased.

→ DisAfter Dark Episode 41 featuring Jim Hill

In case you’re like me, and try to listen to everything that Jim Hill is on.

→ New Column from WDW Radio about Couples at Walt Disney World

Felicia and Sean will be writing a column for couples going to The World1. Here is their background:

Well, besides the fact that WDW rocks, it’s also played a tremendous role in every milestone of our relationship: Our first vacation as a couple was to WDW; we got engaged in WDW; and we celebrated our honeymoon in WDW

Now, that sounds familiar.2

  1. A column which I am, obviously, excited about.

  2. Well, I guess still have a few months until I get so celebrate my honeymoon there.

→ Reservations for California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort Open August 26

See everyone online at 6am on August 26th.

→ Clemson football taking advantage of new iPads

It seems like the legal world is the only place that cannot let go of binders full of paper.

Post with Editorial

It took some configuration, but now it works.

→ Funniest Amazon Reviews

Well done, Amazon (and Amazon’s customers.)

→ North Carolina coach Roy Williams can end the P.J. Hairston chatter

I agree. It’s ridiculous for Coach Williams to complain about having to answer questions when he has the power to, essentially, put an end to those questions.1

  1. Of course, ending the questions about what PJ’s punishment will be, will just start the discussion of what PJ’s punishment should have been.

→ Inside the Disney Parks pavilion: How Imagineering successfully skirted big announcements at the 2013 D23 Expo | Inside the Magic

An interesting take by Ricky Brigante over at Inside the Magic on the lack of major theme park announcements at D23. I still would have preferred Disney to have made a major announcement about a Star Wars land, but Brigante’s article makes me feel better.

→ The PGA Tour bans caddie races at Waste Management

→ New York Times website goes down

They clearly are not handling Nate Silver’s departure well.

→ Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade closing at the end of 2013

It looks like “Festival of Fantasy” parade might be ready by the time Elyssa and I are down there for our honeymoon.
